Kiltariff Hall Country House

Catherine welcomed us warmly and lit a fire in the drawing room on a stormy evening. Breakfast was incredible, a locally sourced fry-up. The room had beautiful decor, amazing furniture, and a great shower. Kiltariff Hall Country House is a special place, set in lovely grounds among mature trees and not far from town. A true gem.

We really enjoyed staying in the blue room, with its lovely sense of stepping back in time. This charming family home offers something different from the usual ultra-modern hotel. Catherine, whose gt grandfather built the house, was a very welcoming host. The fresh, home-cooked breakfast was a treat, especially knowing much of it comes from quality local sources and fruit from the walled garden on site. We'd love to come back and explore more of the local area, forest parks, and mountains. Thank you, Catherine, for a very enjoyable stay 😊

The blue room was lovely, with plenty of space, beautiful decor, a king-size bed, modern conveniences and its own en suite. We slept really well, and the house has so much character. Catherine was welcoming from the start and even booked us a table at a great local restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was a home-cooked Ulster fry. We had a wonderful night and would happily recommend staying here to explore the surrounding scenery or visit the nearby Game of Thrones Studio Tour, which we also really enjoyed.

Rathfriland was a handy base for visiting lots of beautiful places, and it was an easy walk from Kiltarrif Hall into town for dinner. I only booked two nights but could gladly have stayed longer. The Hall is an old-fashioned bed and breakfast in a beautiful home. Catherine was so warm and generous that I felt like I was staying with family. My bedroom was large, the bathroom cosy and warm, and I could use the formal lounge and dining room for breakfast.
