We meant to stay one night, but the welcome and the food convinced us to book a second. Simon and Fiona are wonderful, welcoming hosts. Fiona’s cooking is gourmet quality, and Simon can recommend a whiskey to suit your taste. One of Scotland’s best guesthouses, highly recommended.

A lovely small place in the Highlands, run by a very nice couple. Dinner came with great food and drinks, and breakfast was very good before we set off. It’s fairly remote, but works well as a stop during a drive across Scotland. If you like scotch, give their whisky a try.

A road sign led me to the Rumblie guest house when I needed somewhere to sleep while driving through Scotland. The host welcomed me warmly and showed me the available room right away. I appreciated being able to see it before booking. It looked excellent, and the price was great too, at least half what a hotel costs while offering much better value. I arrived quite late but could still get something to eat, and the food was lovely. The room had everything: toothbrushes, shaving gear, a fresh set of slippers, a kettle, hot chocolate, plenty of tea, a coffee maker, and cookies. The bed was really comfortable, and I slept very well. Definitely visit if you’re in the area!

Simon and Fiona clearly take a lot of pride in the food and hospitality here. I spent two delightful nights while visiting the MTB Laggan Wolftrax site. The room was a good size, with a double duvet EACH!! Breakfast choices were easily 4 * restaurant quality, and the three course dinner was exceptional. The whisky selection at the bar is worth sampling too.

I stayed here ages ago while backpacking the East highland Way. If you’re on the trail, this is the place to stop. Fiona and Simon offer incredible service and information, and there are great rooms, whiskey, and a good breakfast. Sure, it isn’t wild Camping, but staying with them is something you shouldn’t skip.
