Patsy and Gregor were so welcoming, and the house has everything you could need. We had our two-year-old with us, and there was plenty of room for him to run around, including in the garden. It’s in a lovely quiet spot, just a short walk from the town centre. The board games and DVDs were a great selection too. A relaxing dream of a home, and we can’t wait to return. Book it, you won’t regret it.

We had a lovely stay in February 2018. The village is easy to reach from the A9, and there’s plenty to do in the area. The cottage is in lovely gardens, with sheep in the fields and mountains all around. Inside, it’s warm, bright and comfortable, with underfloor heating and a drying room. The furniture is good quality throughout, and there’s plenty of it for eight adults. The owners also provided two travel cots for our toddlers. There are four toilets altogether and three well-fitted bathrooms. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the house feels homely, with hundreds of books, a cupboard full of games and a big selection of DVDs. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and basic essentials. There’s also a high-quality sound system for the TV and easy-to-use Wi-Fi with decent speed.

The Highlands’ best holiday house.

Our group of eight had a wonderful stay in this beautiful Scottish house. It’s thoughtfully decorated, with thistles on the curtains and in the window boxes, cosy blankets and lovely lamps. The four bedrooms are charmingly furnished. One has an en-suite shower and toilet, two share a large bathroom, and downstairs there’s another bedroom with two beds and an adjoining bathroom. There’s also a separate toilet across from the kitchen. The kitchen is so well equipped that we made good use of the dishwasher. The living area next to it has three sofas and a TV. There’s a utility room with a washing machine and all sorts of cleaning supplies, plus shampoo, shower gel and lotion to try. We took fantastic trips in our rental car into the Highlands, right up to the snow line, and to the North Sea/Dolphin Station. The battlefields are easy to get to as well. We all happily give the house five stars, and wish we could give it six. Many thanks to the truly lovely, friendly and competent landlady. We enjoyed our stay so much and are leaving a little sad, but we’ll definitely return to this beautiful region.
