Hillbrook House

The house has a stunning outlook, with a beautiful bay across the road, but the rest of our weekend stay with family at the end of March was very disappointing for the rates charged and what else is available. It wasn't well stocked, the televisions were very dated, and the downstairs toilet plumbing wasn't great. Cleanliness and maintenance were poor throughout. There was pet hair from previous occupants around the house, and it just wasn't clean. Damp spots and peeling lining paper suggested unresolved damp issues in most rooms. The upstairs bathroom and carpets were tired. In the back bedroom, the doorknob came off in our hand; the downstairs bathroom light didn't work, and the bathroom door locks weren't installed properly, with the bars slipping out and falling to the floor. The games room was poorly furnished with 80s furniture, and paint was literally falling off the walls. I understand the property is dog Friendly, but it should have been cleaned properly.
