Moorland View Cottage

We spent our honeymoon here in autumn 2022, and it was a faultless holiday. Suzy was a wonderful host, and the cottage was a beautiful home in a perfectly picturesque spot, with everything we could have asked for. We’re already looking forward to planning another visit. I couldn’t recommend it more.

An evening by the fireplace was one of the best parts of our stay. The cottage feels like a cosy home, and it’s a lovely way to get away from city life for a few days. The attention to detail is impeccable, with everything thought through and done even better than you might expect. Even the bathroom was featured in the top 10 UK bathing experiences. Whether you’re planning a romantic break or a family trip, you’ll have a great time.

This is the best cottage I’ve stayed in. It’s beautiful and lives up to expectations, with such incredible attention to detail. Dartmoor and the spa at Bovey Castle are right on the doorstep, and otherwise I doubt we’d have wanted to leave.

The cottage makes a wonderful long weekend escape from London, with old English charm and modern luxury brought together so well. It’s stylish, tasteful, and full of thoughtful details, in a divine Devon village and countryside setting. We’ve rambled on Dartmoor, swum and had afternoon tea at Bovey Castle, and enjoyed early evening drinks in the pub with lovely local people. On our last visit they even gave us a brace of pheasant, with full instructions, so the well-equipped kitchen came in handy. After dinner, all we wanted was a film by the crackling fire, and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Just another perfect day. Our fourth visit is long overdue!
