We’re here now and having a good time. The accommodation is lovely, well looked after, and spotless everywhere. There’s a reasonably priced little shop on site, with fresh bread from the small bakery inside. We’re hoping the weather keeps improving so we can get ice cream here tomorrow. It’s peaceful by the lake, with lots of ducks and their babies. You can do water activities and hire bikes if needed. The alpacas are lovely too, and you can book a feeding session for an extra cost. There’s also a local pub right off the site that serves carvery. We had a power cut, but it was dealt with promptly. It caused problems with the TV, and the friendly maintenance staff sorted that quickly. It’s a shame that some things aren’t open and the train isn’t running, as we’d hoped to use it. It’s also a shame activities are timed around school holidays, when plenty of us would enjoy them at other times too. Still, we’d come back and recommend the place.

We’ve been coming here on day passes for years since we live nearby, and the park has changed so much for the better. On two recent weekends we got activity passes, which were a great deal. The activities were brilliant, and Dec, Mark and the rest of the team made it magical for the kids and easy for us adults. My daughter especially loved meeting the Alpacas. She learned a lot from the keeper and has since done a home education project about them. It’s still nostalgic for us because we visited as children, but there’s so much more choice now. We’re looking forward to coming back in spring and summer and seeing the activities team again.

This place is lovely, and it was the caravan park for my childhood holidays. On my last visit I stayed in one of the new glamping pods. It was really nice inside and dog friendly, which suited us since we had our dog. The hot tub was brilliant, with an incredible view over the lake. The pod also came with a few games. If you’ve got little kids, help them in and out of the bunk beds because they’re quite small and a child could easily fall. The dog park was good too, with little obstacles and a water bowl, although the bowls aren’t always full. You don’t need to book it. There are arcade games and a bar in the venue, plus ice cream. The outside seating is lovely and has a great view. The entertainment is good for younger kids, and I’d suggest going at weekends if you have them because that’s when most of the fun happens. A great place for families and dogs.

Billing Aquadrome in Northampton was our first caravan holiday in the UK, booked through Meadow Bay Villages, and we had such a memorable family stay. The outdoor setting and activities were refreshing, especially with it so close to home in Milton Keynes. My daughter even missed having her own room on our first day back. We can’t wait to return. The caravan was spotless, immaculate, and seemed better than brand new. All the equipment and amenities, as well as the beds and linen, were clean and well maintained. Great work by management and the team working hard to make the experience so lovely. Highly recommended!

There’s loads for children to do here, and Julia and Dawn at reception were excellent. They gave us a detailed check-in and check-out and were always smiling. Our static caravan was clean and had a nice welcome pack with tea, coffee and other supplies. We stayed during half term, when there was tons of entertainment. Check at book-in whether you need to reserve any events. Some are free and others cost money, with prices varying but generally quite reasonable. I had two minor concerns. The food areas, swimming pool changing rooms and toilets weren’t very clean. It wasn’t especially busy, so I expected these important spaces to be cleaned. Also, the staff were friendly and welcoming but quite young, and some seemed inexperienced. They appeared to be working very long hours and openly complained about it. They were still working exceptionally hard and kept smiling. Perhaps the site could hire more staff and take better care of the ones it has. All in all, it’s a lovely place with plenty to do.
