The Coachman Inn had a lovely atmosphere, gorgeous cocktails, and staff who were especially welcoming and genuinely nice to chat with. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and it was great to be able to bring our dog. The TV was a little small, but that didn’t spoil our stay. We had hot dogs with cheese and bacon loaded fries, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.

We don't usually go out for Sunday Roast because my wife says the vegetables are always warmed up and soggy, but that wasn't the case at the Coachman. This was our second visit, and the Sunday Trio I ordered, because I'm greedy, was delicious. The meat had amazing flavour and texture, the vegetables were fresh and hot, and there was more meat than I expected. It was a big plateful for a very competitive price. Definitely coming back.

The young staff were polite, efficient, and very good, and the place was warm and comfortable. We waited quite a while for our Sunday lunch, though, and it wasn't very hot when it arrived. The roast potatoes should be the star, but these were barely roasted, more like boiled. The pork loin and lamb were okay, while the chicken supreme was very hard and dry. I can never understand why pubs can't get great roast potatoes right.

The food was really nice overall, and the bar lady was amazing. She even gave my son a lolly after his meal. My crispy duck salad and loaded fries were good; his kids burger was a bit dry, but he ate most of it. We sat at a large table tucked in the corner, which was nice, though it felt like we were forgotten. Service was good when we got it, but the guy stopped halfway through clearing our table and got distracted talking with his mates at the bar. I'll definitely go back. By all accounts, the Sunday roasts were amazing.

For work travel, I really appreciated the easy access, good internet, and parking. The pub food and service were good too. It’s a pub with rooms, and you get what you’d expect. I think the rooms are converted stables, all on the ground floor, but they’re well fitted out.
