We had a roomy two-bedroom apartment, with a kitchen and an ensuite in each bedroom. The rooms looked impressive, and the location was right where we wanted it, although it was a little noisy, as you’d expect in central Nottingham on a weekend. One of the beds felt a bit broken. I’d definitely consider coming back.

The location is quiet but right in the centre, near amenities and a car park that costs extra. The rooms are spacious and reasonably priced, though dated and badly in need of renovation. I wasn’t confident about how clean the room was, especially the kitchenette, which was concerning in the covid context. The shower was poor and cold, and there weren’t many complimentary supplies, so a longer stay would be difficult. We raised our concerns by email and phone and followed the instructions we were given, but nobody replied. The check-in process was automated and a nightmare. The information was out of date too: it still said to contact the housekeeper, who had left over a year earlier. Ignore the owners’ response to this review. If you want an easy stay, fresh towels, and toilet paper without having to buy your own, pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

The room was lovely, a good size, and the bed was really comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet for a ground-floor room in a busy city. Everything was close by too.

The apartment had a secure entrance, a kitchen and a lounge diner, plus two spacious double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. It felt warm and cosy. The museum, shops, coffee places and restaurants are all handy. There’s a multi-storey car park opposite, charging £15 for 24 hours, which seemed reasonable for the city centre.
