The people were really nice, and the food was very good value, which was a big plus. The car park potholes, though, are deep and pretty severe. You run into enough of that on regular roads, and don't expect to hit a big bump or bang when pulling into a hotel to relax. In a worse case, you could get a puncture.

We had to leave in the middle of the night because the room had no heating. We mentioned it during the day and someone brought us a small radiator, but it kept clicking off and didn't warm the room at all. After coming back from a birthday party, we could see our breath when we walked in. If it hadn't heated the room in four hours, it wasn't going to do so overnight. With a 7 year old with us and my respiratory conditions, we decided we had to go. When we handed in the key, five other people who'd been in the bar said their rooms were cold too and that they'd complained earlier that day. The whole place smelled of damp and mould, especially the lower part of the building where we were staying. I would never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

A quiet, clean hotel with a good sized room and efficient, polite service. It's near the motorway, so I'd recommend it as a place to stop and break up a long drive.

The function facilities and bar were good to use, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel is clean and modern, and very close to the M1. Just watch for the entrance, as it's easy to miss.

I stopped here to use the EV chargers rather than as a hotel guest. There are lots of them, and you can get a coffee or use the toilets while you wait. We couldn't find an available charger on the M1, so this was a great alternative and really saved us.
