The place was immaculate and the breakfast had a great selection. Toni and the lady cooking were friendly, and got breakfast spot on. Great location too. My room was comfortable, although it was next to a door that kept slamming. Fab hotel, definitely recommended.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the telly worked fine. The hotel seemed a little tired, but there wasn’t really anything I could fault.

I paid £191 for two nights in December and got a disgusting room. It was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever had the displeasure of staying in. There was dust in every corner, cobwebs on the lampshades and hanging from light fittings, spillages left on furniture and woodwork, and a dirty toilet and shower. There was no toilet brush. The pillows had blood stains, and the quilt was stained with clean covers simply pulled over it. I have photos of all of these problems. We also weren’t even greeted with a smile at reception. The room was 27 degrees centigrade and cooled only very slowly over several hours, so we couldn’t sleep because it was far too hot. For two people in a double room, we got one bath towel, one hand towel, one coffee sachet, one teabag and one cup each. The WiFi kept disconnecting and was unusable. I tried to report all this to reception during our stay, but got no answer on the telephone. I told the front desk at checkout and gave them the room number.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, which was the saving grace. I had an accessible room, but it didn’t work well for me. There was a bath, which I struggle to get in and out of, no slip mat, and grab rails in an odd place. The double bed was uncomfortable and wasn’t king size. It wasn’t suitable for two adults when one needs special cushions to be comfortable, and I got very little sleep. There were only two disabled parking spaces, not enough for a hotel this size. At the cost of one night, I’d also expect someone to be at the desk instead of having to ring a bell and wait to be checked in.
