Trivelles Regency Nottingham

The rooms looked nice, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was, especially after reading some reviews. They had shampoo, soap, lotion, a microwave and a TV. The staff were warm and welcoming, too. For an independent hotel, it’s amazing value for the location and price. I’ll be back.

I was moved twice after finding silverfish in my first two rooms, including one the staff saw crawling on the wall themselves. They put me on the fourth floor after that, but when I came back around 2am, there was one in my bed, another on the wall and one on the ceiling. I stayed in the lobby until the morning reception staff arrived at 10am because I couldn’t sleep in the room. I was there from 17th September to 19th. The first silverfish appeared on the ground floor around 11pm, and I reported it to management the next morning. They apologized and moved me next door, where I saw another within a minute. Despite spending the second night in the lobby, management refused a refund or any compensation, saying they had provided accommodation both nights. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. It should be dealt with by health authorities until the pest problem is sorted.

The window was worn and difficult to open and close, but that was a minor issue. The room was clean, comfortable and had what I needed for the price. Staff were helpful and professional throughout, and breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a quiet area, a reasonable distance from the city center. I’d consider staying again.

Breakfast was fresh, especially the sausages, and the chef was friendly and welcoming. Check-in was easy thanks to the polite, helpful reception staff. My room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. I had a really good stay at Trivelles Hotel last week and would recommend it.
