The view over the lake from our room was spectacular, and Hambleton Hall had an amazing range of vegan food for my partner. You never know what a hotel will offer for a vegan diet, but they really got it right. We planned this getaway for my fiancée’s birthday, and it also became an engagement celebration. Thanks to Roshan and the whole team for making our stay feel so special. We look forward to coming back soon.

We had a wonderful evening at Hambleton Hall on Sun 7th Dec. From the welcome by the Maitre D and pre-dinner drinks in the drawing room to the food, wine and service, everything was exceptional. Compliments to the chef and his team. Thank you for a great night!

We went to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday, and all of us thought the restaurant was perfect. Our daughter, who lives in Stamford, booked it after he read about it in the Saturday Telegraph’s feature on favourite Michelin restaurants. She and we had never been before. The service, food and ambience were faultless, and the staff made the occasion feel special. We’ll find another reason to celebrate and come back.

The dining room had a warm, sophisticated feel, with quiet conversation and plenty of space between the couples’ tables for privacy. We had dinner on a Friday, and the service was exceptional and discreet while still friendly. Before dinner, we enjoyed cocktails in the lounge by the beautifully tended log fire, then coffee there afterwards. It was sumptuously comfortable.

We were walking around hambleton and popped into the hotel to ask about booking a stay in May because the location looked great. The receptionist couldn’t help, so he went to find a manager. We waited quite a while, then eventually gave up and left. Maybe our walking clothes weren’t acceptable!
