The flat was peaceful, cosy and well equipped, with enough space for five adults to stay and explore the area. It had everything from extra toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets to a Christmas tree. Booking directly with Sue and David was easy; they replied quickly and met us to show us where to park.

A little courtyard with hanging baskets gives two people a spot to relax. The apartment can sleep five, but I think it’s just the right size for two. It’s a gem for exploring Uppingham and is well equipped, with plenty of tableware. Parking is off site if you need to stay longer than two hours.

We were made to feel very welcome, and there were lovely little messages waiting for us on the fridge. The place was clean, and the beds were really comfortable.
