We absolutely loved our stay at Home farm and highly recommend it to others. It’s a stunning home, in a beautiful setting, with gracious and welcoming hosts.

Eight adults, a five-year-old, and a dog all had a great time at the most incredible family getaway we’ve had, for our dad’s 60th birthday. The house was beautiful, the welcome lovely, and the stay relaxing. We only got one nice day of weather, sadly, but managed to enjoy the firepit, a family staple back in the southeast. The projector was great for late evening films after the five-year-old had gone to bed. Highly recommend booking at Home Farm.

Paul was just as welcoming as before, a perfect host for such a beautiful home and setting. I adore the Highlands in autumn, with those incredible colours and slightly quieter surroundings. We were back at Home Farm after first staying in July 2022 and leaving a glowing review on Air BnB; this time I booked directly, so I’m reviewing it here. We watched films on the big screen every night, including a couple of double bills, and made good use of the open fire. My only disappointment was my own doing: we spent less time in the house than on our previous stay because we were out exploring. I’d have liked more time in the snug, watching nature from the living room, and wandering the grounds. Hopefully we’ll return, and the old barn might be another option once its restoration work is done. Thank you, Paul.

That garden was such a peaceful place, full of birdsong and the gentle buzz of bees. We spent four nights at Home Farm in Glencruitten Oban as a group of six adults, and none of us will forget it. Paul was a delight, keen to show us around and full of ideas for meals and outings, while always being there if we needed him. The house itself is beautiful, with a natural garden and rooms thoughtfully furnished, some with four-poster beds and nearly all with en-suite bathrooms. There’s plenty of room for a big family in the well-equipped kitchen, plus fresh flowers, a movie screen, vinyl records, and quiet rooms to slip away to. We were sorry to leave, and this definitely won’t be our last stay.

Paul made the week especially memorable. He was attentive and easy to communicate with, and we loved chatting over a glass of wine about how he restored the house, where to get a bite or a pint in town, and his family’s barber shop. He’s clearly put so much of himself into making Home Farm feel like a real home. My husband and I stayed in late November with another couple and their two-year-old. We all wished we could move in. The house is spacious, cozy, beautifully redone, spotless, well stocked, and gorgeous. It’s close to town but still tucked among trees, birds, and pheasants. Each bedroom has its own style, and the bathrooms are spacious and sparkling clean. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, with plenty of supplies and room to eat and socialize. We also loved the fireplace in the living room, whether we were playing games, having dinner, or watching a movie on the huge projector. I hope to come back to Oban, and Home Farm is where I’ll stay.
