The food selection at Soroba House was first class, and the soup was superb. Duncan and the staff did a fantastic job hosting our reception after a funeral. It was much appreciated on a day of remembrance. Thank you.

The bungalow, number 5, that my friend and I stayed in needs some general housekeeping and TLC. It looked cleaner than it actually was, with cobwebs around and grime in the shower, including black mould. The shower head also needs cleaning, and there was condensation inside the patio door double glazing. This could be a great place, but it needs work.

We came for a funeral lunch. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was reasonable. The one letdown was the jam for the scones, served in little plastic pots.

The rooms are really spacious and look out over Oban Bay. It’s a beautiful guest house, and the staff were very helpful. Paula especially went out of her way to make our visit feel special. I’d happily recommend it to anyone coming to Oban.

The entrance looked scruffy, the lock box was broken, and nobody was there to welcome us. We had to pull someone away from the kitchen. The whole place needs cleaning up and feels shabby. For the money, it didn’t feel like good value. We didn’t eat there, no way.
