The breakfast was the best we had in Scotland, hands down, even compared with some well rated places in Edinburgh. Carol and Bob are warm, fantastic hosts, and their home is lovely and clean. Our room was exceptionally clean and had a lovely terrace. They also had great suggestions for things to do around Oban. I highly recommend their B&B and would visit again.

After a long day out, the heated floors and rain shower were so relaxing. The bathrooms were nicely finished, and our room was immaculate. Carol and her husband were amazing hosts, and the breakfast was gorgeous. The location is beautiful, with breathtaking views that the rooms make the most of. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Carol was a fabulous local guide. After breakfast she made sure we knew what was happening, where to go, and which options best suited the weather. The eateries she suggested downtown were excellent too. Aspen Lodge made for a great mini holiday around Oban, and I recommend it. Thanks, Carol, for making us feel welcome and for the breakfast tips that helped us make the most of each day. Breakfast was outstanding, with hot and cold choices, a great Scottish breakfast, fruit laden waffles, plenty of fruit and yoghurt, and excellent porridge. The location is fabulous: two rooms look over lush, green, rolling lowlands towards snow capped mountains about 20 odd miles away. One room has a less impressive bedroom view, but there’s a lovely outdoor seating area for taking in the scenery.

I was poorly during our stay, man flu, and Carol made sure we had everything we needed. She gave us takeaway tips and looked after us well. Check in was smooth, Carol was fabulous, and both the room and views were stunning. Breakfast was out of this world. Our visit to Aspen Lodge was fantastic, and I honestly can’t rate it highly enough. I really recommend a visit.
