No7 Oban Harbour

Finding a parking space can be a bit of a struggle. The flat is pleasant enough for a night or two, but the bathroom feels cramped, the TV is tiny, and ferry traffic can get noisy. The kitchen windows let rain in, and the table isn't really sized for adults.

We found it clean, nicely equipped and good value. There’s plenty of space, the decor is attractive, and it’s handy for the ferry. I’d recommend it.

Three double bedrooms sleep six, and there’s a roomy lounge alongside a well-equipped kitchen. It’s a lovely modern flat for a holiday, convenient for the ferry and for exploring Oban. The views stretch across to Mull and beyond, and are stunning.

After being repeatedly intimidated and stalked by the owner, I’m taking back my earlier negative review. I can confirm this is now a five-star spot, charming and spacious in equal measure. The kamikaze driver I encountered racing towards Oban was nothing like the kamikaze owner stalking me, so try to ignore the similarities in their mental states. He sold that van five minutes before it happened, so it definitely wasn’t him. I repeat, not him! I still don’t know much about the rental homes, but in torrential rain one of your vans nearly ran me off the road and almost caused four accidents. The driver was tailgating, dodging and weaving near Loch Lomond like an absolute idiot. If that’s how the employees behave, the whole company must be dreadful! If only the actual driver could say, “Sorry, mate, I was in a rush. That was foolish,” then this could all be deleted.
