The room had a really comfy bed and pillows, a brilliant shower, and tea, coffee and biscuits. We had a lovely night at this beautiful country inn, and the fish and chips were amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived all through the evening. A special mention to the two guys serving us behind the bar, they were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be back.

The location is great, and the drinks were nice. The bar service was friendly too. But I saw the chef being very rude to the other staff. Hopefully the owner can replace him pronto.

We stayed in both Lodges and had meals and drinks at the pub. It’s a lovely, old-fashioned quality pub, full of character, with excellent food and drinks and very friendly staff. You feel the olde-worlde atmosphere as soon as you walk in. There aren’t many places like this gem around nowadays, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The setting and atmosphere were lovely, and the main meals were very tasty. We only stopped in for lunch. The food was nice, though a roll and crisps felt a little expensive. Some staff seemed rushed and bothered that we’d walked in without a booking.
