The Swan Inn & Bistro

The outdoor space and location are nice, which made the disappointing meal a shame. We came for an early Friday evening dinner and it wasn't busy, but the service still fell short. Our food was put down without a word, there was no cutlery, and nobody checked whether we wanted sauces. We had to track someone down for utensils. My burger was so greasy it dripped everywhere, and the bun was soggy. For what we got, it was expensive.

The dog even had a good time, and there was a garden where dogs could go out for water. We all liked the atmosphere and couldn't find anything we disliked about the bistro. My sister had booked dinner while she and my sister-in-law were staying nearby. They hadn't been to the area before, so it was nice for me to try somewhere new with them. The place was dog friendly and welcoming to them as dog owners. The staff were friendly, attentive, and really good with customers. We enjoyed the food and drinks, especially the lovely mocktails. Thanks for having us and the dog!

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Swan today. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole visit was fantastic.

It was mega busy when we came on Sunday, but we were lucky enough to get a table. The staff were friendly and the drinks arrived quickly, with fantastic reflexes from the server. We were hungry, so we ate the food without saying anything, though it came out warm and the Yorkshire was wet and chewy, with no bounce. We were looking for a dog friendly pub for dinner and will give it another try on a quieter day. The host was good.
