Briars Hall Hotel

Guests are still telling us how good the venue was and how effortless the day felt. Everything ran smoothly and on time, so our friends, family and we could relax and enjoy the celebration. We couldn't have chosen a better place to get married. From our first visit with Stephen, we felt welcome and knew it was the venue for us. The staff were organized and professional, but also genuinely caring throughout the planning. A huge thank you to Stephen, Mark, Karen, Aaron and the rest of the team for making our day so special. The location is really nice, which makes it a shame that our family stay with my mother and father was such a nightmare. The rooms were very unclean, and we kept seeing spiders. The food was alright, though it could have been better. Nothing more to say. Never returning.

We stayed the night after enjoying a Valentine's Day three-course dinner, which came with a bottle of fizz for people who had married here before. The food was outstanding. My steak was delicious and nicely presented, and my wife had chicken with goat's cheese. Aaron and Archie gave us 5/5 service. The room was good and had the usual tea, coffee and biscuits. In the morning Mark served us a delicious Full English. Checkout at 10am feels too early; it should be 11am. Even so, we'll certainly return, and next time we'll come for the Sunday Carvery we tried before, which was top notch.

Our wedding day was smoother than I thought possible, and every person there helped make our dream come true. The night before went smoothly too. Even the bar staff and housekeeping team were lovely, and the food was beyond amazing. Head chef Mike and his team deserve a huge thank you. People complimented the food all night and the next day, and even now it's one of the first things they mention when we talk about the wedding. We first met Ste at an open day while looking for a venue. He listened to what we wanted and gave us useful things to think about that hadn't occurred to us. He made us feel relaxed and showed he cared about how our day would go, unlike the other venues we'd seen. Karen, Lauren and Ste were always friendly and happy to help whenever we visited or called or emailed. They felt like friends, and their experience took away a lot of wedding stress. From the start, they were down-to-earth, open and honest as they helped us plan. Ste looked after us on the day too, popping out of every door as we walked around outside for photos to make sure we got canapés, checking if we needed a drink, and packing food for us to have upstairs later. There aren't enough words to thank all the staff at Briars Hall. They gave us and our families a perfect day full of memories to treasure forever ❤️
