The White Hart, Overton

Sophie, the manager, went above and beyond. She knew it was our only child-free evening, lol, and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and felt relaxed. The staff were lovely and quick to help with anything, always friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pub has a great country atmosphere, and the food was spot on, with a well-thought-out menu that had enough choice without being overwhelming. Everything we tried was excellent, and there was a great selection of drinks too. Fantastic from start to finish. We’ll 100% be back ❤️

We had a wonderful lunch, and every dish was thoroughly enjoyable, with a delightful Indian influence in the menu. Alex served us on New Year’s Day. We were told Alex was fairly new to the team, but they were very pleasant and took the time to double-check every menu question instead of guessing and risking disappointment. That kind of care and honesty feels sadly rare these days. On my first visit, I found the pub cosy, with a very welcoming atmosphere, and the staff friendly and helpful. Thanks so much, Alex, for your time and effort. As someone new to the industry, your service was exceptional and much appreciated.

The White Harts curry night was full of flavour, with just-right portion sizes. The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We’ll definitely return, and we’ve already told family members. Thanks, White Hart team, for a lovely evening. We weren’t disappointed!

We stayed two nights for a wedding nearby and enjoyed our stay. Sam was friendly when we checked in. The pub had a good atmosphere, and the room was comfortable, with a large bed, plenty of tea and coffee, and an area information folder. Breakfast was reasonable. The downside was that the room felt a bit dingy, as some lights didn’t seem to work, and some details in the booklet, including taxi numbers, were out of date.
