The bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms, though small, worked fine. The lobby and bar are lovely, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the beach, which is a great spot. The rooms feel tired and could use decorating, though. Fine for a night, and a spruce-up would make this a lovely hotel.

The rooms smelled awful, and the place was dirty and disgusting. It felt like the house in The Shining. We booked Friday and Saturday but couldn’t stay, so we found somewhere else. Booking.com asked them to refund us, but they refused.

The food and service were good, and the location was convenient, though there was no view. The bed was dreadful: they repaired its base during our stay, but the mattress and the rest of it needed replacing. The shower-room sliding door was hanging off, with its bottom guides missing. We were there with a dancing group, but locals had complained so much about the noise that the hotel had to keep all the windows and doors shut. It made the room very stuffy. The toaster needs replacing, too. We won't be back.

That mattress was awful. I couldn’t sleep, so I left early, and I won’t stay there again.

The staff made us feel so welcome, and breakfast came fresh and hot, just as requested. Our single room was lovely. We only stayed two nights and wished we'd booked more. Best stay, we'd certainly go again. Jan x Michael x Paul x
