Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport by IHG

Despite following the staff's spoken directions, I've received several £100 parking fines from their contractor, ParkMaven, for a 35-minute stay. About 25 minutes of that was spent checking in. We were told not to linger in the unloading area, but then check-in held us up, so we left the vehicles only long enough to bring our bags to the rooms as instructed. I'm a genuine guest and feel I've been penalized just for unloading. It seems like a trap, with staff delays and cameras issuing tickets while guests are trying to check in. This is an incredibly frustrating experience, a predatory parking practice and very poor customer service. Avoid until they fix the parking policy. I'd advise travelers to look elsewhere if they don't want to risk hundreds of pounds in hidden fines.

The breakfast had a good range of hot and cold options, and every member of staff I met was friendly and helpful. I was here for three nights for a course. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport and has a decent sized car park, though parking is paid. There's a BP garage with a shop and a Subway nearby, plus vending machines by check-in for snacks and forgotten bits. I'll definitely come back.

The buffet breakfast was included and was awesome. The pancake maker was cool, I'd never seen one before, and it made nice fluffy pancakes. The bar was well stocked and the staff were friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the hotel is nice and reasonably priced.

The food was garbage. The butter chicken curry had a whole chicken breast in it and was watery, like it barely had anything beyond butter. I tried to get rid of the taste with the banoffee pie, but the middle looked like congealed toffee jelly. I didn't eat any of it.
