The photos had already set our expectations high, but our stay at Penarwyn house was even better. From the moment we arrived in Par, Rachel went above and beyond to welcome us and show us to the flat. It was immaculate, full of character and a delight to stay in, with excellent facilities. We only spent one night and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s an easy choice for us whenever we’re in Par. A huge thank you to the hosts for such a wonderful experience!

We enjoyed Penarwyn House so much that we extended our stay. The house was beautiful and full of charm, and even though we booked at the last minute, Rachel and her husband were as welcoming and accommodating as we could have hoped.

We slept in until 0830 one morning, which is unheard of for us 0530 crack-of-dawn people. It was so peaceful, with little to no light or sound pollution, and incredibly restful. The owners were welcoming, helpful and straightforward to deal with. Stylish, comfortable and pristine, the property was a real traveller’s rest right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. The weather wasn’t much help during our stay at Penarwyn house, but the accommodation more than made up for it. The apartment was stunning, with beautiful interior design, and a lovely, comfortable place to come back to after exploring. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful, always happy to point us towards local hidden gems. Charlestown, an unbelievably pretty harbour, is very close, and Fowey, Newquay and countless other lovely towns and villages are an easy drive away. I can’t wait to return.
