We came away very disappointed. We’d booked a whole week but left after just one night because there were so many midges. They were all over the outdoor seating, the key lock box and my car, and even got onto the kitchen worktops inside the lodge. We couldn’t open the windows or doors to get fresh air, since that would have let more of them in. It made the accommodation unusable for us and completely spoiled the stay. We still haven’t had any mention of a refund, even though we had to leave early.
