Heritage Holiday Accommodation

The bed linen hadn't been ironed. I wasn't sure it was clean, so I washed, dried and ironed it myself. Luckily, there was a utility room with the equipment I needed.

They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, even though I woke them with a panicked call at 2am after arriving at the dock with nowhere booked. I'm very grateful they came through for me. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and there are shared sitting rooms as well as private bedrooms, a bit like a hostel. There's no check-in desk, so I believe the usual procedure is to call when you arrive and get let in. A washer and dryer are available, and the sitting room has lovely seating by a first-floor window where you can relax and watch outside.

The rooms are cozy and nicely renovated, and there's a big kitchen. It's a lovely place. I still dream of getting a full English breakfast once a week, with sausages, eggs, hash browns and beans. That would be paradise, even just once! The toast, cereal, coffee and tea selection was still good. Thanks for such a cozy, beautiful stay.

The room was nice and big, but the bathroom was a long way down the hallway, and the rooms aren't en-suite. For this price, I'd expect a bathroom in the room. Worse, the sink, bath and shower were filthy. Having such a nice room let down by a dirty bathroom wasn't acceptable, and I won't be coming back.
