I really like Sid’s and spent a week there while visiting family. The room was clean and comfortable, which are my two main priorities, and the bed was super comfortable too. I loved the charming sea view. The room hadn’t been updated in a while, but at this excellent price I didn’t mind. I’ve paid more to stay in places that were a lot less pleasant and relaxing. The hospitality was especially good. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed, and they bent over backwards to accommodate my changing check-out dates and my late breakfasts while I was dealing with jet lag. I liked all the food, which was very tasty. I recommend the sausage sandwich, toasted teacake, and crab salad for lunch.

We spent three nights here and found the accommodation very comfortable. The restaurant food was delicious, and the cooked breakfast was served really well. We also attended a friend’s wedding reception at SIDS on Saturday afternoon. Sid and his team looked after all the guests and made our time there very pleasant. Well done, Sid, and thank you.

We came to Sid’s for a surprise meal to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday, which I’d organised. It was also my daughter’s 4th birthday that day, making the evening even more special. The team were amazing from start to finish and went out of their way to make it memorable. They brought complimentary drinks for both birthday girls, then surprised us with a free dessert topped with a big sparkler while the staff sang Happy Birthday. They really spoiled my mother and made the celebration feel special. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We were so grateful for the effort they put in to make the night lovely. We’ll definitely be back.

A lovely place to sit with a drink and watch the world go by, especially when the weather’s nice. The view over the water is great, the service is friendly, and the prices are fair. It gets very busy at weekends and in summer.

I went to Sid's for fresh fish and chips. The location is nice, the staff were friendly, and the food was good quality. At £25 for fish and chips and a pint, it felt a bit pricey to me, though I guess you’re paying extra for the view. There was live music when we visited.
