We spent two nights at Navaar House hotel and had a really good stay. The full Scottish breakfast was huge, beautifully cooked and piping hot, a great way to start the day. Our evening fish tea for two, with a starter and a sweet, was excellent too. The food was cooked to order, and the staff and owner were so helpful and polite. I'd highly recommend Navaar House for the service and good food.

There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, with service straight to Edinburgh City centre running until quite late, which was lovely. The staff were incredibly helpful when we arrived later than planned and found the kitchen closed. They heated our food and brought it up to the room. We booked the least expensive room, and it was spacious and beautiful. The restaurant was excellent, and the whole place felt like a family home.

That hamburger 🍔 was superb, and the lunch portion was so big I skipped my tea, which is unusual for me. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere pleasant, and the food and service were good. What more could you ask for?

After my mother's funeral, we had a lovely tea in the bistro today. Everyone who came commented on the generous portions and the fresh food. It was delicious and clearly prepared with care, and the serving staff were very friendly and attentive. Well done to all!!!

Although it’s about 30 minutes from Edinburgh, the peaceful, quiet setting made the stay a real pleasure. Getting to public transport was easy, and the place was clean and tidy, with very nice staff. We enjoyed our first full Scottish breakfast, and the staff kindly arranged an early check-in and late checkout without any hassle. I'd recommend it to anyone hoping for a splendid experience in Edinburgh.
