The outside could use a power wash, new paint and replacement windows, and the hotel does look a bit worn inside too. The bathroom was a good size with a nice strong shower, though the silicone needs replacing. Our room was very clean, and everyone on staff we met was helpful. At reception, a friendly, chatty receptionist offered to book breakfast at Pentrebach house and reserve us a table for dinner. It’s well placed just off the A470, with a link to the M4. I’d been a little unsure after reading some of the other comments, but for the price I thought it was very good, even if a little tired.

If you’re heading to bike park wales and want to keep your bike safe in your room, this place will do the job. It’s a perfectly pleasant, standard premier inn in a building that’s seen better days. Don’t expect luxury, romance or high tech.

Rachel served us several times in the restaurant and was really helpful and polite. The restaurant was great, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Our room was nice and spacious, with an amazing shower, bed and mattress. A very nice hotel.

The staff were excellent, and I loved the venue and restaurant area. My only criticism is that the rooms look a little tired. In room 112, the bathroom could use a coat of paint and the air vent wasn’t working. I laughed at the signs asking people to tiptoe, since the stairs to the first floor creaked like nobody’s business. Recommended.

We were at Bike Park Wales for the day, so this Premier Inn was in a great spot for us. The front desk guys were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious, warm and clean.
