Archavon Studio

Archavon is a great base for exploring West Cornwall and its amazing beaches and coves. Julian, the owner, communicated really well before my stay, and the property was immaculately clean when I arrived. The modern kitchen, comfy bed and generously sized bathroom and shower room made for a well-fitted-out studio. Floor-to-ceiling windows at the front, a large ceiling window, a glass door and plenty of mirrors make it feel bright. The blinds are tucked at the bottom of the window frames, so you can have privacy without closing the curtains. Laminated local information covered pubs, places to eat and beaches. The village square, with pubs, coffee shops and takeaways, is about a minute away on foot. The Square does excellent takeaway breakfasts. I was there on the first weekend of lockdown easing, so indoor dining wasn't possible, but I could still sit outside for coffee and a pint. Even with those places so close, the studio is set back from the road off the square, and the village itself is very quiet. I'd happily recommend Archavon and hope to stay again.

Only a mile from Cape Cornwall and the Atlantic coast, with the shops, galleries, pubs and cafés of St Just in Penwith right on the doorstep. Jay and Anna were friendly and accommodating hosts. What a gem of a place to stay! The studio has everything needed for a comfortable visit, and its striking architecture gives it a real wow factor.

Kelvin sent clear directions for reaching the apartment, along with tips on nearby things to see and places to eat or drink. We got such a warm welcome and goodbye, which made the stay even more special. The studio was immaculate and very clean, even by my high standards, as well as beautifully furnished and exceptionally well equipped. We've stayed in lots of places, but never felt so looked after. We spent three wonderful nights here, and you can tell the host puts real love and passion into it. Everything was perfect.

This stylish boutique studio is a little luxury in the centre of St. Just, and a real surprise. We loved the lighting, comfortable bed and brilliant shower, and it's well equipped. The brilliant Jackson Foundation gallery is nearby, with pubs and places to eat just a stone's throw away. It's a walker's dream, with a regular bus from the free car park less than 100 metres down the road. Routes in every direction range from gentle to much more challenging, and bringing our dog along was an added bonus. We'll certainly be back!
