Beacon Crag

The plants and bushes around the place were lovely, and the sea views were a real spectacle. We spent a few nights enjoying the quiet and the natural surroundings. The South West Path runs right by, with a way down to head towards Porthleven or Penzance. We went out early and also walked beneath the moon late at night.

The views are stunning, and the setting feels properly tucked away. A private path gets you into town in about a 10-minute walk. If you’re after somewhere that feels like a real escape, this is a gem. The host was exceptional.

The ceremony room made all the difference when rain came on our wedding day. We’d planned an outdoor ceremony and were nervous about the weather, but Sam and Andre adapted the day, including moving our hot tub time. Somehow the cloudy sky made it feel even more atmospheric. You end up in a little bubble here, away from the world, and the weather and stress didn’t spoil anything. Andre cooked the best meal we’ve ever had. We chose Beacon's Crag for our wedding after a phone call with Sam and seeing the beautiful photos online. Our family warned us the real place might not match them, but the views when you arrive are even more breathtaking. The house is simple, elegant and beautiful. Sam and Andre are such lovely people and did everything they could to make the day special. We stayed in the private, romantic apartment, which had everything we needed and more. There were flowers on the table, a local guide with places to eat and shop for food, and a delicious breakfast hamper. A little bit of my heart will always be at Beacon's Crag. I’d go back any chance I got. Sam and Andre, we hope your wedding day is as magical as you made ours. We plan to come back for our anniversaries and hope to see you for years to come.

The flat was well equipped for self catering, with a lovely sea-facing terrace. Perched on the cliff edge, the setting is breathtaking and close to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful places. We spent four nights at Beacon Crag for our elopement, and everything went smoothly. Samantha was a fantastic host, and nothing was too much trouble. The private wedding dinner was superb. Andre is a great cook, and even shared his green peppercorns and cooking tips with us. The dogs were a delight too. It was wonderful, and we’d highly recommend it. We’ll be back.
