Hillside Studio

The hosts, Pervaiz and Jacky, did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We didn’t meet them as they live elsewhere, but they checked in to make sure all was well and that we were enjoying our time. That kind of care stands out, and their customer service can’t be beaten. Next time we come to Cornwall, we already know where we’ll stay. The only challenge may be finding dates when Hillside isn’t booked. We spent nearly a week at Hillside over Easter, and the rural setting just outside Penzance suited us perfectly. It was peaceful to wake up and come back to each evening, with a lovely pub, The White Hart at Ludgvan, only a short walk along the footpaths. It’s also well placed for exploring the coast and inland Cornwall, with everywhere we wanted to visit less than an hour away by car. Inside, spotless is the word. Although Hillside has been around for a few years, everything felt new, as if we were the first guests. It had all we needed: a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, large hot shower and good heating. The quality of the place and its calm setting made a perfect combination for us.
