We had clean rooms and a well equipped kitchen in this lovely woodland lodge. There was a parking space too.

The lodge was nice and quiet, and we were greeted with scones and cream, which was a lovely touch. A couple of things need attention, though. The main bedroom mattress sags in the middle and should be replaced. There’s also a gap at the top of the bedroom window where the early sun comes straight in at 5am, so a blind covering the whole window would help.

A quiet spot but still within easy reach of places around Cornwall. After a day out exploring, the hot tub was wonderfully relaxing, and the log burner kept us nice and warm.

It was lovely to find a cream tea waiting for us when we arrived, and when the owners heard we were on our honeymoon, they kindly brought us a bottle of Cava. They live in the next building, so they’re close by if you need anything, though the place is so peaceful you hardly notice anyone else. We had a log fire and hot tub, and it was just right for a couple’s stay. We spent our honeymoon here and loved it.

The enclosed garden was great for bringing a pet, and the property had everything we needed. The owner was really friendly and helpful, and the cream tea on arrival was a nice touch.
