Monterey Pines

Sarah and Geoff made us feel at home during our two-night stay. They were warm and professional, and our room was tidy and clean. From the window we could see the well-kept garden, fields and, in the distance, the sea. Breakfast was very good, with cooked food or cereals, fruit, and hot or cold drinks to choose from. We'll be back sometime and have no hesitation recommending Monterey pines for a break. Give it a go, you'll have a great time.

We found the B&B easy enough, as there are only a few buildings along the road. It's in the middle of South Cornwall, with lovely views of the countryside, and you can drive to places all over the south of Cornwall pretty quickly despite the rural setting. The rooms are spacious and nicely equipped, including a small fridge with real milk, which is much better than fiddly little pots of long-life milk. The bathroom is modern and lovely. It's a beautiful place run by lovely people, and a very nice spot to stay.

Sarah is really friendly and knows the local area inside out. She even helped me try to get dents out of my car door, which can happen on those tiny lanes! Monterey Pines is warm, clean and welcoming, with everything you could need. We loved staying here and were sorry to leave. If you need a great place to stay, you can't go wrong.

We'd found this accommodation online. The reviews looked very good, and booking sites showed rooms still available. Since we were nearby, we went in person at 11 in the morning and rang the bell. A woman in a bathrobe opened the door just a crack. When we asked about a room, she said everything was booked until September. We left as quickly as we'd arrived and found another absolutely fantastic place nearby, Tregathenan Cottage. It leaves me wondering whether everything about this accommodation's Google reviews is correct.
