Sancreed House B&B

Pablo and Grove have made staying at Sancreed House feel special every time, and we love coming back. The house is beautiful and sits on a stunning property. We can't wait to return soon.

The breakfasts were a real highlight. Pablo has a natural feel for cooking, with a wide choice of thoughtful dishes, and he handled our gluten intolerance so well that we could enjoy uncomplicated meals together without worrying about the food. Grove was just as impressive, welcoming us with a warm, sincere handshake as we arrived and making it clear that nothing was too much trouble. Both hosts worked incredibly hard, yet every guest still received personal attention. Questions were answered right away, and they seemed to anticipate what we'd need. The four days left us rested and refreshed. The restored Georgian house has its original features and calming decor. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the drawing room while watching the birds, and sitting on the terrace among the flowers in the extensive, well-kept gardens. The place has a quiet sense of comfort and luxury, and it felt peaceful as soon as we walked in. Sancreed House is more than somewhere to sleep. Its calm, thoughtful atmosphere felt real, and the care behind it showed in the details and in the way the owners made us feel valued. We had a perfect break and can't wait to visit again. The breakfasts alone were a treat, with fresh, original dishes from Pablo, and afternoon tea with homemade cake in the gorgeous sitting room was lovely too. Grove and Pablo were considerate, attentive hosts. The house is beautifully kept, from the antiques, artwork and objets d'art to the gardens and surroundings. Sancreed House Retreat is a gem in this part of Cornwall.

We love Cornwall at any time of year, and our three nights at Sancreed House in November were lovely. I can only agree with all the positive reviews. I hope the 'murder mystery weekend' went well. Hans and Anja
