It’s got a genuine old pub feel, with very nice decor, and the staff are pleasant, though not especially friendly. There’s free Wi-Fi but no car park, and I couldn’t see any disabled toilets. The beer list is mostly ordinary choices, with no real premium beer or lager unless Amstel or Guinness count. I presume they show live sports. Worth a visit.

There’s always something happening, from open mic nights and Cornish music to live DJs, so there’s a good mix of things to do. I mostly come for cuddles with the two gorgeous pub dogs, Joey and Duke. You’ve also got two pool tables, darts, Twister and Monopoly, plus great deals. The drinks range covers spirits, ales, lager and non-alcoholic options. Whether it’s a quiet pint after work or a fun weekend night out, it’s a good place for that old-school, warm pub feel. The staff aren’t too bad either ❤️

A nice traditional pub, recently reopened. It has Sky TV, a pool table and welcomes dogs. The kitchen is due to open soon!

It’s quite quiet, so it was easy to get some rest. The place is comfortable and very clean, with a modern, clean bathroom. There’s soap, fresh towels and tea in the room. It’s also very convenient for visiting Cornwall, close to both the train and bus stations.

The Sunday Roast was amazing, and such good value! You choose the meat, and it comes with seven vegetables, a Yorkie pud, gravy and amazing cracking. If we could give the Star Inn Team 10 stars, we would. Looking for a roast? Look no further!
