Even in winter, the setting felt special. The hotel sits in a lovely spot on the lane down to Cape Cornwall. I went there for an afternoon of meditation and sound healing to prepare for the new year. We used the annex set up for these sessions. It’s a bright room with a good atmosphere.

The house is stunning, and the grounds must be lovely when the weather cooperates. Thelma, thank you so much for your kindness. She let us use the beautiful meditation room to remember our beloved friend, who recently passed away. We were made to feel at home and cared for, with teas and coffees. Near the sea and far from the crowds, this place could also work very well for a B&B. The pool can be heated to body temperature, which is very rare in the UK. I’ve hosted two events here, and can highly recommend the welcoming owners, Thelma and Nigel, for their food and caring help. Give it a try. Altair de Almeida.

We drove 30 minutes each way for a booked pool session, but when we got there the water was too cold to use, so we left straight away. They did give us a full refund, which was fair, but getting only five minutes at the pool after that drive was frustrating.

We didn’t stay overnight, just visited the indoor pool. I booked a private slot for me and the kids. It’s heated enough for the boys to swim all year round.
