Prince Hall Hotel

We came across this place by accident while driving around Dartmoor. The chef had already left for the day, but we had fresh cream tea and cakes, all freshly made and well worth recommending. The staff were lovely, and the view outside is amazing. The country house is beautiful to look at, well refurbished and full of history. Recommended for a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

The best cream tea I’ve ever had. It’s a lovely, interesting building with wisteria climbing up the back, and a very dog friendly place. They even have towels to dry your dog on a wet day.

We had a wonderful time at Prince Hall for a surprise 50th, and made some incredible memories. The house was stunning and had everything we could possibly need. There was loads to do, from the games room with pool, table tennis, darts and table football to the patio BBQ, hot tub, sauna, board games and plenty of books. The location is beautiful, and we were lucky with the weather. Some of our party headed straight out onto the moors for a walk. All the rooms were large, clean and really comfortable. I can’t recommend a stay here enough.

A cosy weekend break would be perfect here. The location is ideal, with lots of stunning walks nearby, and the grounds are lovely. It’s more like a large manor house than a hotel, dog friendly, with super helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and free range. Don’t miss the cream teas!
