Treventon Guest House

Bernard made a great host, and the continental breakfast was nicely laid out with warm croissants. Our room was basic, but clean, which matters most to us. We'd recommend it.

Treventon is just around the corner from the promenade, with easy drives to lots of places around Cornwall. We loved the house's old-world charm, and our room was great. Everything was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the continental breakfasts each morning. Bernard's homemade croissants and the great coffee maker were a real treat.

Bernard is lovely and friendly, knows the local area well, and will sort out any problems. We felt very safe with the Covid precautions in place, and would happily book again. The location is spot on, a stone's throw from the sea, with easy on-street parking. We booked two rooms, and both were equally good: clean, airy and nicely decorated. The top room has trickier stairs if that's an issue, though there are plenty of others to choose from. Check-in was easy and everything was ready. Wi-Fi was excellent downstairs but could be better in the rooms. Breakfast was a very good continental spread with fresh fruit, croissants and cereal. There's a superb coffee machine you can use all day, and the cappuccino is delicious. Many thanks, Bernard, see you soon.

Bernard was incredibly thoughtful and helpful. After we left our little boy's stuffed rabbit behind, he sent it back by First Class post as soon as he found it. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and to an excellent standard. The continental breakfast is just right before sailing on the Scillonian or spending a day exploring this part of Cornwall.
