After a lovely walk on the Eckington circular route, we stopped at The Anchor for Sunday lunch. Jack and the team made us feel very welcome. The meal was fantastic, with plenty of fresh vegetables cooked just right, tasty roast potatoes and a huge Yorkshire pudding. We'll definitely be back!

The atmosphere at The Anchor was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. We had a lovely visit, with fresh, tasty food that was really well cooked. It’s a relaxed place to spend an evening, and I’d happily recommend it. We’ll definitely return.

We’ve had several family events at The Anchor, and each one has been a huge success. Jack and the team go out of their way to accommodate guests, and nothing seems too much trouble for Jack. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, with friendly, prompt service and a smile. Whether you fancy a pint or need a party for 200, The Anchor can accommodate your needs.

We tucked ourselves into a cosy nook and had a great meal at this charming old pub. There were lots of happy locals, and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The staff were kind, attentive and flexible. It’s child-friendly and dog-friendly, and they even offer takeaways. We’ll be back.

We hadn’t been to this pub before, but another place was full and suggested its sister pub. We weren’t disappointed. Friendly staff, good service and decent food.
