Breakfast was delicious and filling, with local ingredients and homebaked toast, served in a formal dining room. The room had calm green and white decor, local art, and a very comfortable bed with soft sheets, a cosy duvet, pillows, and a blackout blind. The small shower-room is fitted into the bedroom, but it’s modern and very clean. There’s parking on site, and the hosts were caring and professional, even when we arrived late. Reception has plenty of tourist information, though there wasn’t any in the room and I couldn’t find the WiFi password. This traditional Guest House is convenient, clean, and relaxed, and the price is fair. I’ll definitely stay again.

Glenda makes one of the best traditional Scottish breakfasts anywhere, and Jacky and I both really enjoyed our stay. It was great to return to the Auld Manse Guest House after not visiting since lockdown. Robb and Glenda were still there, friendly as ever, and the standards were just as high. Happy to recommend it.

The room felt fresh as soon as I walked in, and the towels were lovely and soft. Breakfast was fantastic, too. This was my second time at the Auld Manse. I’d stayed there about two weeks earlier, liked it so much that I booked another visit while settling my account.

There’s a big breakfast choice, from cereal, fruit, and yogurt to a full cooked breakfast, served in a smart dining room. The place was clean and tidy. My bedroom and en-suite were small, but so was the price, and the modern fittings made good use of the space. With a large car like mine, parking in front can leave it sticking out onto the pavement. There’s plenty of unrestricted parking on the nearby side roads if that’s an issue.

The on-site parking was a bonus, and it’s well placed for town, sightseeing, and Scone Palace. My room was bright, airy, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Excellent hosts, an amazing breakfast, and superb value. I’ll definitely be back.
