Mercure Perth Hotel

I spent two weeks at the hotel, and the whole team helped make it comfortable. The night staff, whose names I didn’t get, were approachable and efficient and kept things running smoothly. At reception, Chloe and Stef were welcoming, professional, and glad to help with any request. Diana M. in the restaurant and bar was especially friendly and attentive, and made dining there a pleasure. Many thanks to everyone, they’re a real credit to the hotel.

The food was great throughout my four nights, and Abhujeet and Anish did a fantastic job preparing it. Chloe and Anna also gave excellent service at the bar and restaurant. The hotel is in a good location and the rooms were clean. I’d recommend staying here.

The bathroom was filthy and the smell in there was unbearable. Our room was up a flight of stairs, and the TV barely worked. One of the managers got some channels going, but the set still hadn’t been configured properly. We complained twice and are still waiting for a manager to get back to us. There was no soundproofing either. We heard every toilet visit upstairs, along with every step on the loose, creaking floorboards. The breakfast room was dark and dingy, the tables were so dirty that you stuck to them, and the seats were filthy and covered in who knows what. I asked for a fried egg before choosing my food, but was only told after I’d nearly finished eating that the chef was too busy cooking to make one, despite a sign saying to ask for other eggs. The carpets and walls were filthy too. This was the dirtiest, most dated hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and it wasn’t cheap. Please avoid it. Perth has plenty of lovely hotels at no higher prices.

Chloe was outstanding on the nights she served us. She was always cheerful, polite, and happy to chat, and kept track of our orders while helping with any questions. Anna was just as lovely when she served us, and the food was amazing too.
