Breakfast brought right to the room was a lovely bonus. It was an easy base for seeing the area, with scenic paths and the river about a 5-7 minute walk away, and the closest tram stop only a few minutes off. The supermarket was farther than I expected, which wasn't much fun in the cold.

The room was spacious and clean, and the price was great. We also found plenty of free parking, and the reception team were warm and welcoming. Well done, Travelodge. We’re looking forward to coming back.

The place was clean and looked presentable, but there’s no lift, so expect to carry your bags up at least three flights of stairs. There wasn’t food nearby either, with options at least a five-minute walk away. The walls are thin, so noisy neighbours can be a problem.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the central spot made it easy to walk everywhere. It’s a Travelodge, so the room was basic but did the job. The carpet was heavily stained, though, which wasn’t great.

We got what we expected from a classic Travelodge. The location was ideal, and the room was clean and roomy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
