The owner stayed up to let me in even though I arrived quite late, and he was a really nice guy. I slept well in a warm, cozy room with a comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom was well maintained and the shower pressure was great. Tea, coffee and a kettle were included in the room price, and the dining room downstairs has cooking facilities if you'd rather save money than eat out all the time. The accommodation was very reasonably priced, even though I booked only a few days ahead. I went at this time of year, so I can't say if summer prices are the same. It's about a 20 minute walk from the town centre, where you can catch a bus or train to explore beyond Perth, though there's plenty to see in town too. I can't find fault with the place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

We found this place while looking for somewhere to stay the night. My companion and I wanted one single room each, but only twin rooms were available and they cost more than we wanted to pay. As we were leaving, the proprietor offered us a lower price, which we accepted. The room was clean and fresh, with a modern, tidy bathroom. We had a full breakfast the next morning, and the city centre is an easy walk, so there was no need to take the car.

Paul was so kind and helpful during our lovely stay. The room was nice and cozy, and although the location is just outside the centre, many restaurants and shops are still within walking distance.

We had a very nice stay, with excellent breakfasts and Frances working hard to make sure guests are comfortable and looked after. Dunallan Guest house is well placed for a short walk into Perth city center, trails along the Tay, Scone Palace and highways for day trips. The street is busy, so our front room was noisy on the first night. It was the only room available when we arrived, but Frances moved us to a comfortable, very quiet room at the back for the next two nights. She explained that the front room is used only when there are no other rooms free. Parking is tight, though Frances coordinates any car moves well.
