KVM - Thorpe House

The rooms were generally quite clean, and I had no complaints about them. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the town centre. But the check-in was awful, and getting into the house took about two hours. They charge £250 for damage insurance for a one-night stay, with the money not returned for two weeks. They also request two forms of ID, which isn’t a huge issue by itself, but asking for a photo of a bank statement from the past three months felt a little suspicious. We weren’t told about that until about ten minutes before check-in. Customer service was horrible: very hard to reach, and the people we spoke to weren’t understanding and were difficult to communicate with. Go somewhere else and spare yourself the hassle and grief.
