Park Inn by Radisson Peterborough

The twin room was roomy, with comfortable beds and a good-sized shower room. I did find some areas that hadn’t been cleaned properly, including the bedside tables and under the sink. There was also debris coming from one corner of the shower because of snagging issues. We still really enjoyed our stay, and I’m mentioning it in the hope management can sort it out. The location is great, near the cathedral, town centre, and station. The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Ramona on breakfast duty. Breakfast was excellent apart from the lack of tomatoes. We’re vegetarian and had plenty of options, including cheeses in the continental section.

I was there for a training course, and the room was clean, comfortable, and perfectly adequate for what I needed. It faced the main road, but I couldn’t hear the traffic. The staff were lovely and made me feel welcome. There’s a bar and restaurant on site with a decent choice of meals. It costs more than average compared with other restaurants, but the food quality backs that up. It’s not the Ritz, and it’s definitely not a Weatherspoons microwave jobby. The seating is decent, it’s quiet, and honestly it’s a good spot for work stays.

I’ve stayed here for work for a total of 5 weeks over the last 2 years and haven’t had any problems. The location is great, right in the heart of the city and beside a dual carriage way, so the road links are decent. Staff are really kind, and breakfast and dinner are always good. I’d recommend it for anyone spending a short time in Peterborough.

Getting checked in was quick and easy, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming. I liked having until 12 PM to check out, since that gave me more time to relax and pack. The room was spacious, clean, well maintained, and had a really comfortable bed with all the toiletries stocked. It’s only a 5-minute walk to a large shopping mall, which was handy. Great service and thoughtful amenities for the money. I’d definitely come back.
