The Falcon Inn

The breakfast was hot, the service was really good, and the atmosphere was lovely. I went this morning for the new all-you-can-eat breakfast, which was £10.50 per adult. The bacon was what I’d call proper bacon, not the thin supermarket kind, and there were sausages and a choice of how you wanted your eggs. Even the tables had real flowers in vases. Well done, and thanks to Sharon and the team. Compliments to the chef.

The short blonde woman did a great job at the bar, and I felt bad for her. She told me staff are regularly treated terribly and made to feel bad about their weight and looks. Sharon, the business owner, had a disgusting attitude and kept shouting at her staff member. It’s a vile place. The old owner was a lovely chap and would never have done this.

The food was freshly cooked and tasty, and the staff were nice and attentive. I went for lunch, not an overnight stay. They were changing ownership at the time, so some menu items weren’t available, and the menu didn’t match the one online.

The landlord was friendly, cheerful and professional. It’s a nice old building with decent off-street parking, and there are plenty of local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was decent too.
