The cottages are set in beautiful grounds, and we were lucky enough to enjoy the pool in good weather. We ate some brilliant meals outside by the pool, and the accommodation was lovely, with comfortable beds and sofas, great showers, and a well equipped kitchen. We were cooking for a big group, so Stephen and Phillip happily lent us extra pots. They were generous, welcoming hosts, shared some great stories, and let us make full use of the grounds, pool, BBQ, and seating area. Their lovely dog joined our group too. It's a handy spot just off the A1, within walking distance of some nice pubs. We had an 11/10 stay and hope to be back next year. A hidden gem at a great price, with incredible hosts. The welcome made the stay unforgettable, and the place itself is full of interesting history. It's a hidden gem, and I'll be coming back. Both the surroundings and the accommodation were beautiful, with a cosy, quaint feel alongside a touch of luxury.

Stephen gave me a warm welcome and showed me around this beautiful property. The place and its surroundings are hard to beat. I'd strongly recommend staying here, and if I'm back in the area, I'd book it again.

The cottage was comfortable, and the location was fine. The hosts were great. Some repairs seem to be needed, including to the shower, but the host had pointed these out when we arrived, so we knew about them.

We had sunshine every day in late September, which was a lovely bonus. Myshka, their friendly husky, was often nearby hoping for a tummy rub. The owners were away on a rare break, but Adrian, their caretaker, was terrific at answering questions and even made time for a chat by the pool. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, with interesting features and lovely style details. It's a peaceful riverside base for walks to nearby villages, while still being just off the A1 for easy trips to Stamford, Cambridge, and Peterborough. A brilliant stay.
