We were there for three nights, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food and service were excellent, and our room was spotless, with great views across the links golf course and the sea beyond. Improvements are underway, with the rooms next in line for an upgrade. It’s a great spot for golfers, and there are also historic places nearby and fantastic beaches to explore.

I’d booked a room to share with my parents, but St Olaf had a spare room and let me use it for the night free of charge. A cosy hotel with nice staff and a good breakfast.

We had a great time eating at the St Olaf Golf Hotel. Thanks, we’ll be back!

Even though it was foggy, the area was lovely, and I can imagine how nice it must be in the sun or how cosy it’d feel indoors when it rains. The staff were kind too. My pal and I stopped for food before walking at Slains Castle. We didn’t realise the kitchen was close to shutting, but they kindly fitted us in for some awesome burgers. Big portions, hefty burgers, and really tasty. They even talked us into dessert. I was very full and felt fat. I’ll absolutely go again. Thanks.

The pub had locals mixing with tourists and chatting about all sorts, from whisky and history to golf. One local character gave me a great tip to walk down to the harbor and original fishing village. I hope he’s a regular fixture there. I stayed to play Cruden Bay Golf Course. The dinner and breakfast were decent, though the B&B rooms are dated. It was a great experience, and I’m excited to see what the new owner operators, a husband and wife, do with the place.
