I came to Pevensey Bay for the first time on Monday with my two dogs, and it was just right for a peaceful coastal walk. There's loads of room, with the waves and fresh sea air instead of crowds, loud music or chaos. I don't enjoy busy beaches, and this quiet, natural stretch really suited me. It's a beautiful beach, but not one for swimming. There are no lifeguards and the shore is quite stony. I did notice lots of people fishing, so it seems popular for that. If you're after a calm escape, it's a lovely place to walk, especially with dogs. Keep an eye on their paws, though, as the pebbles can be rough after a long walk. I'll definitely come back for another peaceful walk.

We stayed here in July 25, right by the beach. It's a lovely pebble beach that doesn't get too busy in the summer. Dogs are welcome, and it's good for sea fishing if that's your thing.
